Stephe Ministry is caring ministry

In response to the pandemic, our Stephen Ministry wants to be a refuge and source of strength for the people of St Paul. We would like to suggest a new way of using Stephen Ministry called “Caring Ministry” to lift up and support our members. This will allow us to respond quickly to the needs of our brothers and sisters.

Stephen Ministers would provide three types of service:

If members would like a daily phone call to chat and socialize, we will match them with a Stephen Minister.

If members want to be prayed for or with, Stephen Ministers would be ready to kneel on your behalf. This can be done together over the phone, or they can be held in prayer by the Stephen Minister, and hopefully knowing you are being held in prayer will provide you with peace and comfort.

If members would like some spiritual guidance, Stephen Ministers could assist with ideas for creating a sacred space and making a ritual for private spiritual practice.

If you want any of these services, please let us know, either via email or by phone:

Let us walk together with you during this trying time. Remember, you do not walk alone.

Stephen Ministry is your ministry

Stephen Ministry is a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around the congregation. In a strictly confidential relationship, Stephen Ministers will be able to walk with those who are experiencing illness, grief, job loss, divorce or any other of life’s crisis where the companionship of a caring Christian friend to meet, listen, pray and share scripture would serve to gently guide an individual through the healing process and back to wholeness.

If you are a caring person and interested in training to become a Stephen Minister - please contact one of our leaders or Pastor Nate.

If you or a loved one need a Stephen Minister please speak with one of our Leaders:

Addiction & Faith

The first ever Addiction and Faith Conference took place September 28-30, 2018. St Paul sent Sarah Tees, one of our Stephen Leaders to find out what we as a Stephen Ministry Congregation can do to help those dealing with Addiction and Recovery. Any questions email
