Beginning in September 2010, St. Paul will train its first class of Stephen Ministers. Stephen Ministry is a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around the congregation. In a strictly confidential relationship, Stephen Ministers will be able to walk with those who are experiencing illness, grief, job loss, divorce or any other of life’s crisis where the companionship of a caring Christian friend to meet, listen, pray and share scripture would serve to gently guide an individual through the healing process and back to wholeness. Stephen Ministers will be commissioned and available for service at the beginning of the New Year.
